February Winkle Crate Preview

It’s the month of love, and that’s exactly how I feel about the STEM activities coming in the February Winkle Crate!

The Winkle Crate is my STEM subscription box for kids. Every Winkle Crate comes with everything you need to complete four DIY-style, kid-friendly STEM projects. Not only that, but each Winkle project has online video instructions that walk your child through each step and explain the STEM principles behind the project. Your child will be able to independently complete these projects (younger kids might need a little help), which is great for their learning and confidence, and great for your sanity. Winkle Crate projects are always STEM-based and DIY-style, meaning they are open-ended and easy to replicate and modify with supplies you might already have at home. These are perfect STEM activities for elementary age students.

Here are the four projects coming in the February Winkle Crate:

Blood (Science, Biology)

What is blood? We’ll talk all about it during this science project, which doubles as a fun sensory activity. Just add water!

Flashlight (Technology)

Make an LED flashlight using household supplies! We’ll talk about circuits and energy flow during this technology STEM activity.

Famous Buildings (Engineering)

Let’s practice some basic engineering skills while recreating famous buildings from around the world! This fun project is great for kids with wanderlust, who are interested in architecture and building, or who just like to play with clay!

Paper (Science, Chemistry)

Learn how to make paper in this chemistry project for kids! Write a letter to a friend or make a custom Valentine. All the supplies you’ll need are included, and you’ll also use the Winkle Crate box.

Make sure to order the February Winkle Crate while it’s still available! Subscribe to the Winkle Crate to get yours. You can cancel any time, but we think you’ll stick around. Boxes ship on the 5th of every month, so don’t hesitate!
